President's Message

The 23rd President
KUROSAKI Yasusuke P.E.Jp(Civil Engineering, Environment, Engineering Management)
Born in 1962

Graduated from Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, The University of Tokyo

Representative Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer, Nippon Koei Co., Ltd.

I was appointed as the 23rd President of the Institute of Professional Engineers Japan (IPEJ), at the Board of Directors meeting following the Annual General Meeting on June 15, 2023.
In the today's society which is highly dependent on the advanced and complex technology, the role of the professional engineers is becoming increasingly important, and they are required to maintain and improve their quality and competence.
In parallel with these heavy responsibilities of the engineers, we must also enhance the engineer's social recognition, status, and the opportunities to play the active role in the society, so that the engineers can play proudly both inside and outside of Japan.
I will move forward to promote these internal and external initiatives, together with the members of the IPEJ and those who support us.
