International Professional Engineer (IntPE)

International Professional Engineer (IntPE) Registration

What is IntPE?

The International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA), which is a multi-national agreement between engineering organizations in the member jurisdictions, provides a framework for the establishment of an international standard of competence for professional engineering, and then empowers each member organization to establish a section of the International Professional Engineers Register.

The standard of competence applied is the same as that the APEC Engineer agreement. Many of the APEC agreement members are also members of the IPEA agreement, but the latter includes non-APEC economies such as the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa and Sri Lanka.

Each member operates a national section of the International Professional Engineer (IntPE) Register; the registrants on these national sections may receive credit when seeking registration or licensure in the jurisdiction of another member.
