P.E..Jp (Professional Engineer, Japan; "Gijyutsushi" in Japanese)
is the authorized title of engineer by the Professional Engineer Law (PE
Law)
P.E.. Jp is defined in the PE Law as an engineer who obtained a registration
and conduct practice on matters of planning, research, design, analysis,
testing, evaluation and guidance, which require advanced professional practical
abilities in scientific and technological matters.
A professional engineer is also a leading expert on science and technology,
who is publicly recognized as being able to render guidance and counsel
on research, development, design and evaluation relating to technology,
improving the quality and the manufacturing process of products, formulating
and managing project plans, investigating the causes of accidents and assessing
the damages.
